I thought it would be fun to write a blog post each month to include my favorites for that month. This will mostly include films, T.V. shows, and books, but also the occasional weird item, like a CD player or a new pillow.
1. Streetcar Named Desire
I was flipping through an old English textbook and came across this play by Tennessee Williams. I had almost purchased it last summer because I knew about the play for a while, but never actually read it. I was happy to find it in a textbook I already own because it meant I could read it for free.
2. Death of a Salesman
After reading Streetcar, I wanted to read another play because they fly by so quickly and are easy to get enveloped in. I felt a little differently when I finished this play, like I had bricks in my pockets. It was hard to digest and accept, but it made its point.
3. Hannah Montana
It’s on my T.V. every night. I would argue it’s one of my favorite comfort shows ever.
4. Righteous Gemstones
Everything is so ridiculous and absurd and outrageous that you don’t get a chance to truly digest it until the show is over, but that’s what makes it so special.
5. CD player
There is something so different about listening to music on a CD player, instead of a phone or a computer. It feels more personal. It makes music feel more important because you are limited to what is on a CD, and not what is on the entire internet.
